Daniele will show you how to translate a still life photograph into a beautiful fabric collage.

She will demonstrate how to take a photo of your favorite objects, translate that photo into a line drawing and then “paint” with your favorite fabrics. You will learn how to pick the fabrics to bring “life” to your art, understand how light and shadow shape your subject, and how to create depth with fabric and thread. For demonstration you will be making a sample still life of an apple. A supply list will be furnished upon registration.

Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced. Some previous free-motion experience is helpful but not necessary.

Saturday November 5 and 12, 10am - 3pm

Award-winning fabric collage artist Daniele Todaro will show you how to create beautiful monoprints depicting what you love about your garden. You can print on paper or fabric (cotton and/or silk).

You will learn by picking plants from your garden (or Daniele's) apply inks and paints to your printing plate. YOU DO NOT NEED TO KNOW HOW TO DRAW

This class is lots of fun. Many students leave with art that is ready to frame.

Skill Level: All skill levels welcome. (Beginner's don't be shy - this class is quite simple)

Cost $50 plus $7 materials. Please let me know whether you will be printing on paper or fabric (silk or cotton).

Daniele will furnish all printing materials, paper, fabric, ink and acrylic plates. You can bring any plant life you might want to print.
