Women's Work Series

This series is inspired by the women who helped settle the West. I want to examine the often overlooked efforts of the women who travelled west during the early 1800s. They were often lonely and isolated, yet many survived a very difficult time. Because their efforts were domestic in nature there is little photographic evidence of the women.
I would like to use this series to elevate these women to a cinematic level —bringing their every day efforts to the frontier of our imaginations.
